Experience:
Trevor deals with all aspects of employment law from recruitment to termination issues, both contentious and non-contentious, and with post-termination restraint of trade issues. He also deals with the employment law aspects of transfers of undertakings, outsourcing and the sale and purchase of businesses.
In particular, he specialises in drafting service agreements, bonus claims, boardroom disputes, wrongful dismissal, unfair dismissal and race, sex, age and disability discrimination and in dealing with issues arising in the employment and recruitment sector and atypical working arrangements.
He has managed a number of significant change management programs including medium to large scale redundancy exercises and variations of contract, often involving collective consultation issues and advised upon industrial action.
Trevor joined Speechly Bircham 1985 and has been a partner since 1995.
He is the author of chapters in (Tolleys) Employment Law Encyclopaedia and The Guide to Setting up and Managing Your Own Business (SAGE). Trevor has also contributed to a number of other publications including Employment Precedents & Company Policy Documents (FT Law & Tax) “The Times” to journals such as the Solicitors’ Journal, “The Recruiter,” “Charity Finance,” “The Chemical Engineer” and “Workplace Network Law.” He regularly participates in in-house training and seminars and has also appeared on Radio 5 Live.
