Tim is a corporate lawyer with over 16 years experience advising clients on sales and acquisitions, raising finance, company restructuring and project finance. He also has substantial listings experience (AIM and Official List). Tim is also developing an insolvency and restructuring practice.
Tim has experience in M&A work for clients in the construction and engineering sector, including listed companies such as WS Atkins and Mouchel. He has also worked for them on major PFI/PPP projects, notably the Metronet consortium for London Underground and the recently concluded M25 road widening project. Recently he has also turned his hand to insolvency work as a number of companies in the public/private sector space have had funding difficulties.
Tim joined Speechly Bircham in 2009 from Shadbolt LLP, where he had been a partner since 2000. He qualified in 1993 at Beachcrofts, in 1997 he became a partner in DMH Stallard. Tim obtained his law degree from The City of London Polytechnic (now London Metropolitan University) in 1990. He has also been awarded a distinction in the Insolvency Practitioners Association Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency.
Tim is a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, Insolvency Practitioners Association, Institute of Directors and MCC.
