Speechly Bircham advises on sale of Crompton Technology Group to Goodrich Corporation

City law firm Speechly Bircham, has advised the shareholders of Crompton Technology Group (CTG) on the share sale of CTG to Goodrich Corporation.

CTG (www.ctgltd.com)  is a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced carbon fibre composite products for the aerospace, defence, advanced vehicle and clean energy markets.  Based in Banbury, CTG has a workforce of some 150 staff.

Goodrich Corporation (www.goodrich.com) , a US Fortune 500 company, is a global supplier of systems and services to the aerospace and defence markets.

Speechlys has acted as legal adviser to CTG and its shareholders since CTG was established through a management buy in led by Dr Scott Roberts, CTG’s Managing Director, in 2000.

Corporate Finance partner Will Nash, assisted by Stephanie Baird, led the Speechly Bircham team on the transaction. Jim Lavery assisted by Ceri Williams-Jones of DLA Piper in Birmingham advised Goodrich.
