Peter has a wealth of experience in development and project work (along with some loyal clients). In particular, his career is characterised by regeneration work. He advises on all types of land and development opportunity acquisition, joint venture development arrangements, strategic alliances, procurement, planning and environmental matters, leasing structures and disposals. Peter's workload is largely developer-led with an emphasis on mixed-use and mixed-tenure development and the redevelopment of re-usable land.
Current and recent assignments include a number of high-profile town centre and brownfield development projects throughout UK, but most typically in London, Thames Gateway and the South East. The present economic situation has provided him and his team with opportunities to assist clients with the restructuring of development projects.
Peter's clients range from nationally-based housebuilders to specialist developers and contractors; from public authorities to private landowners.
Peter is highly recommended in the 2009 edition of the Legal Business Report on Legal Experts and hailed as "a great strategist,..." (Chambers 2009).
He joined Speechly Bircham in 2009 when it merged with Campbell Hooper with whom he had been a partner since 2006. Prior to that, Peter was a partner at Pinsent Masons.
