Graeme concentrates mainly on corporate mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations and corporate finance work, frequently with an international dimension.
His work has included:
- advising the shareholders of World Challenge Expeditions Limited on the sale of the company to Tui Travel plc
- representing the managers on the formation and subsequent fund raising of a €200 million fund to invest in real estate assets in Eastern Europe
- advising various companies on their debt financing including debt for equity swaps
- acting for the shareholders of Diagnos Limited, a leading provider of diagnostic software to the car servicing industry, on a sale to an MBO/MBI team
- leading on the MBO of Gleeson Building, a business employing over 500 people with a £200 million turnover
- representation of Kreos Capital Management (UK) Limited (formerly known as European Venture partners management) team in establishing a €155 million leasing offshore entity and advice on its subsequent investment activities
Graeme joined Speechly Bircham in 2009 when it merged with Campbell Hooper with whom he had been a partner since 2004. Prior to that, he was head of the London corporate team at Morgan Cole.
Interests include hill walking and scrambling, gardening, art, architecture, travel and wine.
