Enid specialises in investment funds. She advises a range of financial services clients, in both the regulated and unregulated sectors of the industry, on establishing and maintaining investment fund structures and on corporate activity associated with them. She has a particular interest in unregulated schemes such as limited partnerships, a popular funding arrangement for investment in private equity and also widely used for real estate investment.
Enid also advises banks, insurers, investment managers, sponsors, promoters and intermediaries on FSMA (Financial Services and Markets Act 2000) and other regulatory issues affecting financial services businesses and their clients.
Enid joined Speechly Bircham as a partner in 2007 from Martineau Johnson where she was partner in their Corporate group. She was admitted as a solicitor in Scotland in 1988 and in England & Wales in 2000. Enid obtained her law degree at University of Edinburgh and her LLM at University of McGill, Montreal Canada.
