International telecoms group
Co-ordinating all legal and tax advice for a publicly quoted telecoms company on the global roll-out of its share incentive plans which now operate in more than 50 countries worldwide, with over 15,000 participating. In a number of jurisdictions, our client was the first multinational company to offer local participation. The exercise involved drafting master plan documentation (for approval at the AGM) and agreeing with the local advisers bespoke provisions for each of the jurisdictions. We reported on tax, securities and employment law issues in each of the jurisdictions concerned.
