Our Corporate Recovery & Insolvency group carries out the full range of contentious and non-contentious corporate insolvency work. We act for insolvency practitioners, banks and other financial institutions, companies, directors and shareholders and other stakeholders. Our services include:

Administration of Michelin-starred chef, Tom Aikens’, restaurant business
Advising on the administration of Tom Aikens’ restaurant business and the subsequent sale to Oak Investments.
Liquidators to fashion business Morgan–UK
Advising on the structured closure of the concession business and providing property advice on disclaimers and assignments of the company’s leasehold interests, as well as managing the orderly wind down of the stock held by the company.
Administration of furniture retailer MFI Group Limited
Retained by the joint administrators of MFI to advise on the attempted sale of the business and assets of the company following its failed management buy-out. Advising on disposal of stock, intellectual property and dealing with the large volume of creditors and credit card companies.
PML Flightlink Limited on an opposed administration petition
PML Flightlink was a research and development vehicle backed by a large US-owned venture capital vehicle that was deadlocked by a boardroom dispute. We successfully obtained the administration order and appointment of PwC as administrators.
Sale of the General Trading Company
Retained by the joint administrators who were able to trade the world famous retailer of fancy goods and its associated three Royal Warrants. We acted on the successful sale of the business and assets to Mortimers Limited, which preserved the business as a going concern.
