Experience:

Alex advises on contentious and non-contentious intellectual property and technology matters. 

He advises suppliers and their insurers on recovering failed or failing technology projects, including large scale IT projects. Alex has significant experience investigating and reporting on the causes of project failures leading teams of lawyers and IT technology specialists in the resolution of complex high value litigation mediation and arbitration.

Alex leads the trade mark designs and brands practice and has significant experience advising brand owners, product designers marketing professionals and those in the media and creative industries in respect of licensing, sponsorship and franchising of intellectual property rights and the protection of copyright design rights and trade marks. Alex advises on advertising and marketing regulation and reputation management, including privacy and defamation matters.

He has been the lead adviser in a number of landmark cases, including Reed Elsevier v Reed Employment, Cala Homes v McCalpines, Guild v Nabavi as well as a number of high profile actions in the UK and other trade mark registries and before the Press Complaints Commission and other regulatory bodies.
