Wealth planning for business owners

11 February 2010

This seminar is designed to showcase how you can add value to the advice you give your clients who are business owners.  By conducting a 'role play' client meeting, we will highlight some do's and don'ts business owners need to consider to maximise tax savings and preserve their wealth for the benefit of the next generation and beyond.

What will the seminar cover?

  • Shareholder protection – traps for the unwary
  • International considerations – avoiding the pitfalls
  • Pre-sale planning
  • Post-sale considerations
  • Preserving inheritance tax (IHT) reliefs – some do's and don'ts
  • Turning 100% BPR into 200% relief – save £s of IHT
  • Protecting a business against divorce
