Speechly Bircham associated with next FAST seminar

6 May 2010

Speechly Bircham is proud to be associated with the next FAST (Federation Against Software Theft) seminar entitled ‘Are your borders safe from external and internal attack?’ taking place on Tuesday 25 May 2010.

The keynote will be given by Jonathan Bamford from the Information Commissioners Office. Vinod Bange, partner in Speechlys’ IP, Technology & Commercial team will be presenting on the legal challenges and priorities organisations need to consider in managing internal and external data security threats.

Specialists from the FAST Information Technology Security Group (ITSG) will give the most up to date information and guidance on:

  • the threats to your data and the ramifications, both financial and reputational, of lax data security
  • how to deal with the threats that unregulated use of social networking sites could bring to your organisation
  • the legal and regulatory risks from both internal and external threats, and how to manage them.

The seminar is free of charge and will take place in the Cabinet War Rooms from 9:30am to 1:00pm. All attendees will have access to the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms after the event.
