City law firm Speechly Bircham is pleased to announce the promotion of Simon Ridpath to partner in the Insolvency and Corporate Recovery team within the Commercial Dispute Resolution (CDR) group. Simon's appointment brings the total number of partners in the CDR group to five, with a team of six fee earners specialising solely in insolvency and recovery work.
Simon Ridpath joined Speechly Bircham as a solicitor in 2007 and specialises in advising insolvency practitioners in administrations, receiverships, liquidations and when appointed as trustees in bankruptcy. Simon also provides insolvency advice to private clients, both as creditors and debtors.
The Insolvency and Corporate Recovery team regularly carry out insolvency and recovery work for a number of blue chip clients including insurance companies and banks. Recent work includes advising restructuring and insolvency specialists MCR in the administration of MFI Group Limited and the General Trading Company Limited in Sloane Square, and retailers Morgan and West One Fashions.
