Graham is the newest addition to our pensions department, joining in May 2008 as a consultant. Graham is dual qualified in England and Scotland and has extensive experience with over 30 years experience in pensions, pensions tax regulations and pensions dispute resolution work. Graham also has extensive experience of in-house protocol, having previously worked in-house as Legal Director of the Life Associate of Scotland Ltd (which became Britannia Life) and was a major participant in the Pension Plan design and documentation.
He also served as external Director of Pensions and also as Pensions Solicitor to substantial Pensions Consultants, which has given him extensive knowledge of a whole range of practical pensions issues. For the last 26 years, Graham has been working in law firms and has been involved in some of the best known pensions cases in the UK.
Graham has advised overseas governments on pensions, benefits and social security issues as well as Pensions Ombudsman systems. Examples of clients he also acts for include a major UK listed outsourcing company, a UK listed leisure company, a major US bank, international charities and a global religious organisation.
He is the Senior legal Director of the Pensions Advisory Service and a founder member of the Association of Pension Lawyers in the UK and the International Pensions and Employee Benefits Association.
Graham lectures on pensions issues regularly and is often called upon by the media to provide pensions commentary on topical developments.
