City law firm Speechly Bircham LLP has advised entrepreneur, actress and supermodel Elle Macpherson on her latest multi-year deal with cosmetics giant Revlon.
Elle said of her London lawyer, Alexander Carter-Silk, of Speechly Bircham “I like to keep a close knit team of trusted advisers around me and that includes Alex. I have worked with him since 2003 and he understands my principles, the complexities of my own brand products versus my spokesperson role and the guarantees that need to be met when negotiating deals such as the Revlon agreement.
He ensured that the deal was done quickly with a minimum disruption, even though he was dealing with a triple negotiation between me, my agent and Revlon”.
Alexander Carter-Silk, who led the Speechly Bircham team acting on the deal, said “Elle is an astute business woman; we have a mutual relationship that demands significant direction and input from her. I worked closely with Elle and Revlon’s in-house lawyers to negotiate the terms of the appearance agreement”.
The deal will see Elle Macpherson join Revlon as a global brand ambassador; she will be featured in major advertising campaigns and support the cosmetics brand through other activity such as her participation in Revlon’s philanthropic activities.
