Speechly Bircham’s corporate practice provides a blend of transactional, advisory and dispute resolution services in a range of financial markets and across a number of sectors including business services, financial services, health and technology.

Our clients range from UK and international quoted and private companies to financial services organisations and entrepreneurs. Our ethos is to build solid, long standing relationships, looking after clients’ legal needs on a continuing basis not just when they are buying or selling businesses or raising finance.

We often handle major transactions but we have a particular strength in the mid market. A very significant feature here is our ability to offer integrated tax advice when planning and implementing transactions, as we have an especially strong corporate tax group.

Much of our work has an international dimension. We regularly co-ordinate multinational transactions and disputes for international businesses. As lead lawyers we will typically help in the selection of overseas lawyers and assist in defining the scope of work for the legal team and other professional advisers. We then co-ordinate and oversee the work of the overseas legal team to ensure our clients receive a seamless service.
