City law firm Speechly Bircham LLP has advised Clear Capital on its sale to Noble & Company for an undisclosed sum subject to approval from the FSA.
Clear Capital is a leading research firm focused on small to mid-cap UK equity markets providing research and analysis to institutional fund managers. It employs over 30 people in the UK and India, including several Extel rated analysts. Immediately following receipt of the FSA’s approval for the acquisition the Clear Capital team will be moving to Noble’s offices at 120 Old Broad Street.
The combination of Noble and Clear Capital now provides a powerful force in the mid-cap investment banking market, a market in which Speechly Bircham regularly acts.
Nick Paulson-Ellis, founder and Managing Director of Clear Capital and who will be joining Noble as Head of Equities comments; “This was a significant strategic sale for us as we look to leverage our research into the transaction arena both in the UK and internationally. Speechly Bircham has supported Clear Capital since its inception, and successfully advised us through what proved to be a relatively complex transaction with Noble. Andrew Collins and his team have excellent knowledge of the UK mid cap investment banking market.”
The Speechly Bircham team was led by Corporate partner, Andrew Collins, assisted by Corporate assistants, Nicola O’Donoghue and Anna Halliday, Tax assistant, James Crawford and Employment assistant, Anne-Marie Balfour.
